Everyone at Dr. Bibby's office is friendly & helpful. They try to make it fun & are very good at explaining everything!

Growing up i was always embarrassed of my teeth, even my speech was affected because of the way my teeth were. I never thought that would ever change, but after a long few years of retainers, more retainers, and finally braces. I smile more then i ever have before:)

When I was 12 I couldn't wait to get braces because people kept on making fun of my teeth. Then I got them and was so happy (without the new uncofortableness). Not that I have them off, no one can keep away from me. I love this new attention cause I have never, ever gotten that much attention. I even got praised by my teacher. I will be happy beyond....anything if I get them off before I graduate. Paige Soukochoff

I started with my braces when I was 53. Making the decision to get braces was, although a long time in coming, an easy one to make.
I have always had crowding with my teeth but braces were not something that, in my youth, would have been a possibility and when I became an adult I figured it was just too late to even think about it. That was until I started seeing people my age and even older with braces. Soon I started asking those people what made them decide to get braces at their age as well as where were they getting them done. The answers as to why were varied but the answer as to where most was often the same... "Br. Bibby in Nelson" they would say.
My reason for getting braces was because of the crowding of my teeth. I had noticed it worsening in the last 5 years or so to the point that a couple of the front lower teeth were starting to lean backward. I decided to take the plunge after talking with my hairdresser who was wearing braces at the time.
I went for my consultation not knowing what to expect. I must say I was surprised at how easy it went. The office was pleasant and the staff, well the staff was FANTASTIC with a perfect balance of professionalism and friendliness. I left feeling so at peace with this whole new adventure. A couple of weeks later I was back for the big day. I was told it could take anywhere from 18 months to 2 years. I told them that I have done enough renovating on old houses to know that it often takes longer than we think so I was preparing myself for 3 years. It was in fact, 27 months before they came off.
I could not be more pleased with the results. Not only are my teeth straighter and more evenly spaced than they ever have been I have also noticed a few fabulous bonuses that I did not know were coming my way. Things that I had learned to ignore over the years were changing for the better. Firstly within a couple of months I noticed that the clicking of my jaw along with the pain associated to it had disappeared. Then I began to notice that I was not getting as many migraines as I once had as well as the fact that I do not snore as much now either (not that I would want to admit to ever snoring but…) these are the most obvious and beneficial bonuses that I had never expected to happen.
My visits are almost over now but before they are I want to say that I will always be grateful to the magical office of Dr. Bibby, where, with the help of all her wonderful littler workers, I received such great care. Thank You… you guys are awesome. Geri Coe
